  5. This diskette contains a demo version of News for Windows NT.
  6. News for Windows NT is a 32-bit Internet newsreader and requires
  7. Windows NT 3.5 or Windows 95 to run. It will not run under Win32s.
  8.  
  9. This release may be freely copied and distributed world-wide.
  10. If you do reproduce or distribute this material, all the files
  11. included on this disk must be reproduced in their original form.

  22. INSTALLATION AND CONFIGURATION
  23.  
  24. Remember to unzip the file with the -d switch to restore the
  25. proper directory structure. There is no installation procedure
  26. for this software. Simply execute the .EXE file which matches
  27. your processor architecture.

  29. Before posting articles, you need to set up templates for
  30. creating new articles. Select "Tools->Options->Templates" and
  31. enter your templates. Also make sure to fill in the information
  32. about yourself in the "Tools->Options->User" dialog.

  34. By default, News will keep all the configuration information in
  35. the Registery database. If you want to use an external  .newsrc
  36. file to store information about your subscribed newsgroups, select
  37. "Tools->Options->General" and change the settings. Make sure to make
  38. a backup copy of your existing .newsrc file before doing this!
